In Between
高槻市での個展が無事に終わり、明日から桐生市での個展が始まる。去年一度このペースを経験しているので、スケジュールの面では何も問題なく準備をすることができた。
ギャラリー・マーヤで二度目の展覧会では去年来てくれた人達に沢山来ていただいたのが嬉しかったし、初めての人達ともいろいろと話ができる機会もあり、できれば来年も続けることができたらと思う。個展が終わった後は、「聖徳太子」をキーワードとした史跡巡りをすることもでき、充実した関西での滞在だった。 ふすま絵のプロジェクトもだんだんイメージが具体化されつつあり、筆を使いながらの思考が始まる。
モギ・ギャラリーではまた違った感じのインスタレーションとなり、会期中またどんなものを吸収することができるか楽しみである。
短期間中、２つの展覧会の合間というのは、不思議な時間が流れる。
The show in Takatsuki was success, and another show in Kiryu will starts tomorrow. Since I’ve done this schedule once last year, handling two shows in a short period isn’t too difficult.
It was very pleasing to see same people who came to Gallery Marya last year, and it’s always nice to meet new people as well.
I was also highly satisfied to be able to visit some of very important historical sites that are related to the prince Shotoku. The ideas for the screen paintings are coming together. And I feel like it’s time to start checking those ideas with a brush now.
The installation of Mogi Gallery has different feel from the one in Gallery Marya. And I’m looking forward for new inputs during the show.
Anyway, time in between two shows in short period is interestingly anomalous.

今日はグループ展のオープニングだった。
１２人の作家が参加しているので、大勢の人達に来ていただき会場はすごい賑わいだった。
わざわざ来ていただいたぼくの友人たちにも感謝の気持ちでいっぱいなのだが、それぞれの人たちともっとゆっくりと話せる時間が欲しかった。
There was an opening reception for the group show tonight.
Since 12 artists are perticipating, the gallery space was packed with the guests.
I thank all my friends who came to the party.
Just wish I could have a little more time to chat with everyone.

Woodward Gallery
１１月１４日からソーホー地区にあるウッドワード画廊で開催されるグループ展に出品する。
画廊作家１２人が参加するので一人の作家が出品できる数は限られているが、１月６日までと２ヶ月近い長期間の展示は嬉しい。
画廊のオーナー夫婦とはもう長い付き合いで、二人ともとても気さくな人たちである。
期間中に訪れていただける方がいれば是非お気軽に声をかけてみてください。
I'll be showing some works in a group show at Woodward Gallery in SOHO.
The show opens on November 14th and runs through until January 6th.
Since 12 gallery artists are participating, each artist has limited number of works to display. But I like the length of the show.
The owners of the gallery are very nice couple whom I've known for a long time. If anyone could visit the show, I'm certain that a conversation with either of them would be very pleasant.

Conceived thoughts
無事にモギギャラリーからの搬出が終わった。
一ヶ月に２つの個展をするのは初めての経験だったが、どちらも納得のいく展示ができてよかったと思う。
自分の作品を違った空間で見直すことができたのも面白い。
このまま続けていきたい部分や、新しく試してみたいことなどがだんだん見えてきて、またビーコンのアトリエに戻り、ゆっくりと時間をかけながらすこしづつ手を動かしてみたい。

ホームグラウンドということもあり、毎日多くの方々がこの暑さの中を来てくれて有り難い。
いろいろな人と興味深い話をすることができ、中身の濃い時間を過ごしているが、その内容を文章にするのにはしばらく消化する時間が必要だと思う。

I'm so thankful to have many people come over to see my works in this heat.
Many conversations are very interesting and I'm enjoying rewording time here in the home ground. But it will be awhile to digest all the input.
