筆を使って描き加えるだけでなく、拭き取ることによって絵が進むことがある。
拭き取るということは、消すことではない。
拭き取ったことによって出来た色合いや質感もその作品の重要な要素となって残る。
時には何かを取り去ることで前に進むことができる。
Not only by adding brush strokes to a painting, it also makes a progress by wiping off some of the paint.
This act of wiping is not same as erasing.
The colors and textures appeared after the wiping will become important elements of the painting.
Sometimes, it helps to take something off to move forward.
