Away from the chores
夏の展覧会に出品する予定だった作品のうち、一点だけはどうも納得がいかないので今回の出品は取りやめることにした。 幸い十分な点数があるので、無理矢理に仕上げるよりももう少し時間をかけてみた方が良いと思う。
この時期は額作りや梱包など展覧会の準備が忙しいのだが、雑用から離れあらためてこの作品に向かう時間は意外と心が休まる。
For some reason, I couldn't come to terms with one of the paintings I was planning to show in Japan this summer. Since there are enough number of paintings for the shows, I have decided not to ship it this time. I thought it's better to give it little more time in stead to rushing it.
Even though this is a busy time preparing for the shows like making the frames and packing, facing this painting gives me a peaceful time away from those chores.
