特に板の上だと、拭き取ったときに絵の具の下から覗く木肌の色と、薄く残った絵の具との兼ね合いはパレットの上では到底作れないものである。

There for it allows me to wipe off some of the paint effectively with plenty of time.
Especially working with wood panels, the color of wood shows through the thin film of paint after wiping. It gives me the color that you could not create on a pallet at all.
