作品を無題で発表するということができない。
制作の過程を大切にした抽象的な仕事なので、描き始める前にはっきりしたイメージがあるというよりも、筆を進めながら形を探している。
途中、いくつかのイメージが現れては消え、求めているものがだんだん見えてくるとそれに合った言葉を探し始める。
題名は作品の説明でなく、名前をつけるような気持ちで選んでいる。
I don’t like to display my paintings as untitled.
An abstract approach for searching certain images makes me feel that the process of the painting itself is essential to my works.
In that process, various images come through the surface of a picture. And some images start to become coherent enough to look for some vocabularies.
I choose words as names for the paintings, not descriptions of them.
