Motif
記憶が作品のモチーフになっていると強く感じる事がある。
その記憶は視覚的なものであったり、感覚的なものであったり、
必ずしもはっきりした形を持っていない。
夢を思い出そうとするときに、無意識の世界で感じたものを
意識の領域にたぐり寄せるような作業と似ているかもしれない。
Sometimes, I feel as if the memories are the main motif for my images.
It could be some visual traces, or could be some sensory reminiscences.
They usually don’t have clear forms.
Painting from memories is almost like trying to remember a dream,
a process of carrying unconscious feeling
back in to a realm of consciousness.
