New studio
去年の９月に始まったアトリエの改装工事がやっと終った。 ずいぶん時間がかかったが、大きな工務店でなく地元の大工さんに頼み、手作りという感じがする。
今までの地下のアトリエも居心地はよかったのだが、製作中にあまり引いて見ることができなかった。 でも新しいスペースは十分な広さがあり描きかけの作品を壁にかけ、たっぷり距離をおいて見ることができるのが嬉しい。
Finally, the construction of the new studio which started last September is completed. Even though it took a long time, I like this feeling of hand-built by a local carpenter.
I have been painting in a basement and it was pretty cosy, yet there wasn't enough space to pull back to view the paintings. This new space has enough walls to hang several pieces at once and be able to look at them with plenty of distance.
