BlogHeraldの推定では、2005年12月の時点で約６千万のブログがあるらしい。そしてその数は急速に増えつつあるという。
もし一つのブログが一日一個の写真をアップロードするとしたら、約６千万の画像が毎日ネット上で増えていくことになる。気の遠くなる数字である。
そんな中で一点に長い時間を費やして描き上げる絵画というものの存在について思いを巡らせる。

If one blog uploads one picture a day, 60 million images will be added to the web daily. It’s a mind-boggling number.
I ponder over a meaning of paintings that take lot longer to create than a single click of a shutter.
