鏡に映った自分の顔は、左右が逆転しているのになぜ上下は変わらないのだろう？
実は左右も変わっていないのである。
ただ鏡に映った自分の視点では鏡を見ている自分の左目が右目になっているわけであり、鏡を見ている自分の視点からは、左目は依然として左側にある。
視点が変わると、物の見え方も変わる。
顕微鏡や望遠鏡を通して見る風景が面白いのは(レンズを通すと上下も左右も逆になってしまうのだが)、自分の視点がとんでもないところへ飛んでいっているように感じることができるからでもある。

Actually the right and left aren’t changed either.
It appears that way just because your point of view shifts from you who are looking at the mirror to you who are reflected on the mirror. If you retain the point of view within yourself who are looking at the mirror, the left eye stays left side from where you are.
When your point of view shifts, things appear to be different.
One of the reasons the landscapes through a microscope and a telescope are fascinating (when you look through a lens, everything appears to be upside down), is that you can feel your point of view gets taken to somewhere faraway.
