Okawa Museum
毎年桐生に帰ると訪れる場所の一つに大川美術館がある。
松本俊介や野田秀雄の作品を中心としたしっかりしたコレクションが常設展示されていて、いつも見慣れた作品に再会しほっとした静かな一時を過ごすことができる。
街を見下ろす丘の中腹にある建物は、変則的な階段と小さな部屋で仕切られていて、とても親近感に満ちた空間だと思う。
馴染みの常設展の作品でも、毎回惹かれる作品が違っているのが面白い。
One of the places I always visit when I go to Kiryu is Okawa Museum.
I can enjoy a quiet relaxing time revisiting the familiar paintings from the permanent collection which is centered around the works of Shunsuke Matsumoto and Hideo Noda.
The building is located on a middle of a hill which has a nice vista of the city. All those small rooms and staircases creates a very intimate feeling.
It's interesting that every time when I see the permanent collection, a different piece catches my eyes.

かなりの数の作品がありますが、今回はなぜか「ニコライ堂の夕暮れ」という作品に目が止まりました。
