Indigo
いろいろな大きさに切ったプライウッドをパネルに仕立てる仕事をしながら、いくつかの作品に色を付けてみる。
絵の具をテレピン油で溶き木目に染込ませるように塗り、その表面を布で拭き取る。
すると突然画面に奥行きが出てきて想像力が刺激される。
この段階では、特にインディゴのもつ深みが面白い。
While making panels with the plywood that were cut into various sizes, I started to apply colors on some of the pieces.
Loosening oil paint with turpentine, the color gets spread all over the surface.
When all the excess paint get wiped off, a deep space appears all of the sudden. And the depth of the space stimulates my imagination.
I particularly enjoy using indigo at this stage.
